MLB Covering The Bases – Saturday, July 25
Well hello there, Grinders! It’s been a while since I have last written this MLB article, so I am excited to get back in action with the start of this shortened, sprinting, 60 game baseball season. Things are going to be unpredictable in the early going, and that means we have to embrace the variance when it comes to building rosters for DFS tournaments. As for that thought, I will expand upon it as we go. This inaugural Saturday slate of 2020 offers us games throughout the day, but the majority of the games are being played in the afternoon. In fact, there are only two games that start after 7:00 Eastern time. As such, I will focus this article on the day games. DraftKings is offering an 11-game slate with all the games starting between 1:00 and 4:00 Eastern, while FanDuel is offering a 13-game slate with all the games starting between 1:00 and 5:00 Eastern.
In keeping with the general tradition, let’s begin by breaking down the pitchers before moving along to the bats. Most teams used their “ace” pitcher on Friday, so we have a lot of “#2” starters going today. That gives us an interesting mix of hurlers. It’s time to get started!
