Saturday, May 12th
Good day, Grinders! As usual, we have our split slate Saturday on tap today. There are two double-headers this afternoon, but we don’t have to worry about Game 2 in either case. Since the Mariners and Tigers just got postponed on Friday, Game 2 of that double-header is not available, and the second game of the Rays/Orioles twin-bill starts at a weird time, so that one is off the slates as well. With that, we have the usual 15 game slate today. There are seven early games and eight late games, which is a nice split for us to attack. Let’s get to it!
Early Slate Overview
DraftKings has split the slate just as I described, with seven games on the early slate and eight games on the main slate. FantasyDraft has removed the first game between the A’s and Yankees from the early slate, so there are six early games over there. FanDuel has made things more challenging, with a two game “very early” slate and a four game “early slate” — and the 3:05 start between the Orioles and Rays simply isn’t on either early slate.
Given this setup, I am simply going to break down the early games from the perspective of all seven games together. I will discuss differences among the sites as appropriate. Just know that the OAK/NYY game is not available on FantasyDraft, while the TB/BAL game is not available on FanDuel (and the early slate is split up over there). Now that we are all confused, it’s time to talk pitching!
