Saturday, May 26th
Well, hello there! Welcome to another weekend edition of the Covering the Bases article! We have our usual split-slate Saturday on tap today, but the good news is that we don’t have to deal with different slates on the different sites! That’s a minor miracle, but the reason is because a lot of games start at similar times today. We have a solitary early afternoon start between the Braves and Red Sox, but that game is simply excluded from the early slates today. Your only access to that game will be through an “all day” slate, but I would just suggest not worrying about it. Beyond that, we have an eight game early slate (with all eight games starting at 4 PM eastern) and a six game main slate. Let’s take a look at both slates in turn.
EARLY SLATE BREAKDOWN
Three Top Arms on a Rough Slate for Pitching
We have a major theme on today’s slate – there’s not much out there for pitching. That theme will hold true for both the early slate and the main slate. There are really only three arms to like on the early slate, and they all carry high price tags.
