Saturday, May 5th

Good morning everyone! If you happen to be reading this after the early games have started already, good afternoon everyone! I was up late sweating the games last night (there’s nothing better than a late night DFS sweat), so I’m a little groggy as I type this article on a Saturday morning. Hopefully I don’t ramble on about anything senseless. Anyhow, we have our usual Saturday split slate today. This week’s slate is much more unbalanced toward the evening slate, however, as there are 10 games at night and just five during the afternoon. As such, I will focus the analysis on the main slate, but I will start with an overview of the early games.

The early slate is also split up differently between the sites. There are two games that start early in the afternoon, two games that start at 4 PM EST, and one game that starts at 6 PM EST. FantasyDraft and DraftKings are ignoring the 6 PM game and using a four game afternoon slate. FanDuel, however, has split the afternoon into a two game “very early” slate and a three game “early” slate that includes the 6 PM game. Got it? Great!

In order to break this down a little more effectively, I am just going to use the game-by-game approach for the early slate. That way, you can just read the analysis that applies to the games that happen to be included on whatever slate you are playing. Let’s go!
