Happy Sunday, Grinders! I hope the weekend is treating you well. We have the usual healthy main slate Sunday on tap for us, with 11 games on the main slate on DK/FDRAFT and 10 games on FanDuel (they excluded the LAA/TEX game that starts at 3:00 EST). There are just three late afternoon games today, so I will focus the article entirely on the main slate. Let’s get right down to business!
Searching for Aces… Again
The pitching options are just as ugly today as they were yesterday, and we have zero bona fide aces on the mound for the second straight main slate. Here’s an attempt to parse out the muddled mid-range once again.
Mike Clevinger vs. Orioles
The Good – Upside is there when he has his “A” stuff, fantastic matchup against a glorified AAA team, walks are down this year, strikeouts sit above league average, will generally pitch to a solid ERA compared to his advanced metrics thanks to his fly ball ways
The Bad – Tends to be bad when he’s off his game, command was an issue in his last start
