DraftKings Scoring Changes
I’m copying and pasting this from the Showdown article this morning. Feel free to skip down to the slate breakdown section if you’re already aware of the scoring changes.
There have been some scoring changes announced on Draftkings and today is the first day where the new scoring will be utilized.
GLA No Longer Exists: I spent way too long researching and writing a primer about how GLA was calculated, but it looks like that might have been wasted effort. I never disliked it as much as most, but I’m ok with it leaving.
Round Not Played Bonus: In place of GLA, they have added a 0.5 point bonus for each round not played. So this will be a maximum of 7 points per player per game (14 rounds x 0.5 points), so the potential for 21 points in a best of three match that goes the distance. Keep in mind that both teams will receive the bonus.
