CS:GO DFS Dreamhack Breakdown: Sunday, April 19th
Note: As these are the same teams from yesterday’s slate and DK posted these contests at 2 am, some of the write-ups will look similar to yesterday’s article. Where my thoughts on individual players/matchups have changed, I’ll obviously incorporate that into the analysis for today. Also, the Vegas odds haven’t been posted as of the time of this writing, but I wanted to get something posted early. I’ll update on Sunday morning with any changes/updates based on the Vegas odds.
Envy vs. Cloud9
Yesterday, Calyx is the highest priced player on the slate by a decent margin, but today he comes in at $600 cheaper than dapr. This is despite him popping off 72 kills compared to just 48 deaths, good for a slate-leading 91 points. A look at his game logs shows his inconsistencies/upside. His K/D over the last five matches is +26, +17, -10, +25, and -14. Very much a boom or bust type player. If he hits his ceiling again, he could break the slate from the captain slot. If he’s off, he’ll likely tank your lineups. Due to the tough matchup, all four of the other Envy players are $7000 or below. At their various price points, I like them all, except for Ryann.
