Daily Fantasy CFB News & Notes: Week 10

Daily Fantasy CFB Player News

Quarterback

Player: Nick Marshall, QB, Auburn
News: Marshall has said he will be fine for the Tigers next game against Arkansas despite leaving Saturday’s game with a shoulder injury.
Impact: Marshall burned owners that rolled the dice with him last week in his game against FIU. Marshall against Arkansas is another juicy matchup and he is a solid QB2 in all formats.

Player: Taylor Martinez, QB, Nebraska
News: In his first game back for the Cornhuskers, Martinez suffered a hip pointer and is questionable to play this week.
Impact: Martinez really struggled against Minnesota, which is not a good sign. Do not use him as of now and find another option.

Player: Justin Worley/Josh Dobbs, QB, Tennessee
News: Worley will miss approximately 4 weeks after tearing ligaments in his thumb and freshman Josh Dobbs will get the start against Missouri.
Impact: Despite the fact the Vols will need to toss it all over the yard in an effort to play catch up against Mizzou, Dobbs is not a recommended option against a solid defensive unit.

Player: Connor Shaw, QB, South Carolina
News: Shaw is questionable to play Saturday against Mississippi State because of an illness.
Impact: This is bad news for those wanting to use Shaw because this is a solid matchup for him. Considering he has not practiced this week, he is someone to avoid.

Player: Gary Nova/Chas Dodd, QB, Rutgers
News: It is expected that Nova will get the start for Rutgers as they take on Temple this weekend.
Impact: Nova was benched in their blowout loss to Houston, but he faces a much weaker team in Temple. Considering how well the Rutgers ground game is producing though, he is unlikely to be a fantasy worthwhile play.

Running Back

Player: Kelvin Taylor, RB, Florida
News: Taylor is likely going to get the start for the Gators against their rivals from Georgia this weekend.
Impact: Taylor is the son of former Gator and Pro Bowler Fred Taylor. Despite the lineage, against a tough Georgia defense, he should be avoided.

Player: Venric Mark, RB, Northwestern
News: The latest news for Mark is not good. He is expected to miss Saturday’s game against Nebraska and it is possible he will apply for a medical redshirt.
Impact: This is a tough break for the Wildcats as Mark is their best playmaker.

Player: Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia
News: Gurley is probable to return for the Bulldogs for their game against the Gators after missing the last few weeks with an ankle injury.
Impact: Despite playing against a tough defense, it would be tough to bench Gurley if he is active. Get him in your lineups as he is a top 10 back.

Player: Justin Goodwin, RB, Rutgers
News: Goodwin is in line to start for Rutgers this week as Paul James will miss another contest. He gets a juicy matchup against Temple.
Impact: Goodwin is a must start as he has rushed for over 100 yards and two scores in each of his last two games. He will carve up the Owls like a Halloween pumpkin.

Wide Receiver

Player: Marqise Lee, WR, USC
News: Lee is questionable to face Oregon State on Friday.
Impact: Lee continues to be a fantasy disappointment. You cannot trust him at all for your lineup.

Player: Kasen Williams, WR, Washington
News: Williams suffered a broken foot in the Huskies win against California over the weekend.
Impact: The injury will likely cost Williams the rest of the year and will also hinder the value and playability of QB Kevin Price. Jaydon Mickens is a player to watch as he exploded for 6 catches, 180 yards and 2 touchdowns in Williams’ absence.

Player: Paul Richardson, WR, Colorado
News: The Buffs leading receiver is questionable to play because of an ankle injury against UCLA.
Impact: This would be a huge blow to fantasy teams as Richardson is a clear #1 receiver. UCLA also has a formidable defense, so this is not a matchup I would risk him in. Look for Eric Ward to be a solid replacement.
