Daily Fantasy College Basketball Arrives!
The madness begins early this year, as you don’t have to wait until March to get some fun College Basketball competition going with your friends. That’s right, Daily Fantasy College Basketball is here! Whether you’re a die-hard NCAA fan, or just gearing up for a potential NBA lockout, this comes as exciting news. To kick the season off, there’s already two sites with CBB up and running, and one of them (Daily Joust) is giving you a $250 FREEROLL that starts tonight! Here’s a preview of the current Daily Fantasy CBB offerings, and what can be expected in the future:
$250 Freeroll: TONIGHT!
To get things started off with a bang, you can hop in a freeroll right away! The freeroll is giving away $250 in bonus bucks, and is available on the home page in the lobby. Daily Joust CBB
Daily Joust had their first contests up and running for opening day last Monday, and already have a lot of cash players. They offer accurate, live scoring on a play-by-play basis during the game. The scoring has been adjusted from NBA, and they are utilizing points only.
The Player Pool will consist of a full range of Div 1 teams, with subsets on different nights (e.g. ACC only, just Top 25 teams). The roster is 9 slots to fill: G, G, G, G, F, F, F, F, F/C.
Daily joust will of course be offering their unique Solo contests for CBB as well! They contests will start out with a 100 pt. target. In addition to the $250 Freeroll tonight, they will be offering weekly $500 GPPs: The Grand Duke $500 CBB Tournament (winner qualifies for Super Joust) and a High Stakes $100. Lastly, the high-stakes grinders will be happy to hear that there are $250 RAKE FREE heads up contests available for CBB!
FanDuel
FanDuel is the other main site offering Daily Fantasy CBB to kick the season off! FD has had games up in their lobby for a while now, and are kicking things off with a $5, $1000 Guaranteed, Single-Entry Tournament on Wednesday!
FanDuel will have live-scoring and updates for all of their Daily Fantasy CBB games. In addition, they are utilizing the same scoring system from their NBA contests, but with a slightly different Roster Configuration having no Center:

DraftZone

DraftStreet
DraftStreet does not currently have games available for College Basketball, but it sounds like the could soon! Mark Nerenberg, Product Manager of DraftStreet, said that “DraftStreet is heavily considering offering it, and if we do, it will be some time in January.” If offered, DraftStreet’s games would consist of only the big 6 conferences, and Live Scoring would be a feature. The scoring would consist of Points, Rebounds and Assists, but none of the other categories DraftStreet currently offers for NBA.
