Divisional Round Lineup: DraftStreet
Divisional Round Lineup: DraftStreet

The Divisional Playoffs are here, which means it is also the last week you can submit a lineup without experiencing the dreaded 3 on 3 match vs. your opponent whom shares more than half of a roster with you. Let’s face it, this is the last good week of Fantasy Football for seven months! This season has quickly come and gone, and DraftStreet isn’t making this final, normal week of fantasy football any easier on those of us already trying to cope with our loss. Their pricing has remained ultra-tight and competitive throughout the season making for difficult choices weekly. I came into this lineup selection process determined to get Rodgers on my roster, but I just couldn’t make a lineup with the Packers QB that felt like a winner. Here’s a non-Rodgers lineup I felt that I felt came out better overall:
DraftStreet – 10 Man – $100,000 Salary Cap Lineup
| Position | Player | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| QB | Mark Sanchez (NYJ-QB) | $12,179 | There’s only 8 QBs to choose from and Sanchez will save you some much needed cap space. Let’s hope we get both the Sanchez and the Pats D of early season. |
| QB | Jay Cutler (CHI-QB) | $15,912 | Another pick I’m not in love with, but in a 10-man you have to take some risks. Seattle’s pass D and Cutler’s arm make for an impressive upside. Unfotunately it’s Cutler’s head you have to worry about. When he goes down, he goes down hard. |
| RB | Michael Turner (ATL-RB) | $12,488 | Running Back is weak this week. Turner seems like the clear-cut #2 RB this week behind… |
| RB | Matt Forte (CHI-RB) | $15,261 | #1 Forte. |
| WR | Anquan Boldin (BAL-WR) | $9,272 | 12 Receptions for over 180 yards and 1 TD in 2 games vs. Pit this season. Very strong value for Boldin, whom most are down on right now. |
| WR | Deion Branch (NE-WR) | $9,113 | I wanted to go with Welker after his amazing press conference the other day, but the Pats will be takin shots downfield no matter what the scoreboard says against the Jets, giving Branch a high ceiling. |
| TE | John Carlson (SEA-TE) | $5,721 | I decided to cut back at Tight End this week. Beyond Tony Gonzalez, there is no consistency anywhere. So I went cheap with a player that had 2 TDs last week against the NO pass D. |
| FLEX | James Jones (GB-WR) | $6,803 | He’ll have to do since I couldn’t get Rodgers on my roster, the clear #1 QB this week. |
| FLEX | Danny Woodhead (NE-RB) | $9,693 | I gave Woodhead the edge over Starks here since DraftStreet is 0.5 PPR scoring |
| DST | Packers (GB-DST) | $3,424 | Defense is tough to project under DS’s scoring, so I went with the Packers. They’re the best of the three in the price range left (I look at D last on DraftStreet due to their scoring methods and will rarely reach), and have looked very solid lately. |
Good Luck this weekend!
