Dolphins vs. Rams – NFL Player Props

Devon Achane OVER 0.5 Touchdowns (-105, FanDuel)

In two weeks since Tua Tagovailoa returned from injured reserve, Devon Achane leads Miami with 22 rushing attempts, averaging an incredulous 7.3 yards per carry. Thus, even though he tends to split goal-line opportunities with Raheem Mostert, there is little denying that Achane is the most talented member of this backfield and a threat to find the end zone on any given play. Achane has also been Miami’s most targeted pass catcher the past two weeks, leading to a team-leading 14 receptions, including a pair of receiving touchdowns. This is great value for one of the most talented players in the entire NFL.

Devon Achane OVER 42.5 Receiving Yards (-110, FanDuel)

In two games since Tua Tagovailoa was activated from injured reserve, Devon Achane leads the Dolphins in targets, receptions, yards after the catch, and receiving touchdowns. Tonight, he gets a favorable matchup against the Rams, who rank 31st in DVOA against the running back position this fall. Notably, the Rams allowed 72 receiving yards to D’Andre Swift in Week 4, so there is precedent for opposing running backs to have a big game against this defense. This is admittedly a high number for a running back, but it’s high for a reason.

Devon Achane OVER 54.5 Rushing Yards (-110, FanDuel)

The Rams’ run defense has been outstanding since their bye, ranking 4th in EPA/play and 2nd in success rate. However, it’s worth noting that they have faced the Raiders, Vikings, and Seahawks in that span. The Raiders’ offensive line ranks 32nd in adjusted line yards this season, with the Seahawks only marginally better, ranking 30th. Minnesota lost star LT Christian Darrisaw at the half of their Thursday Night Football matchup. Miami’s offensive line isn’t outstanding, but it’s better than any unit that Los Angeles has seen in recent weeks. Devon Achane ranks 10th among 46 qualified running backs in explosive rush% this fall, so there is also the possibility that it simply takes one big run to get the job done.
