DRAFT Live Final Qualifying Ends Soon - Win Your Way to Nashville!
The annual RotoGrinders Party is less than a month away, and we’re excited to see everyone make their way down to Nashville and even more excited for the live final that DRAFT will be hosting at the event.
In case you haven’t seen the amazing details of the RG Party, check out this forum post from our CEO, Cal Spears, outlining the exciting events of the weekend.
Two of the coveted golden tickets have already been awarded and another two will be handed out this week with the remaining tickets handed out in the weeks leading up to the party. Here’s a quick recap of those contests…
Week 1 Qualifier Bracket
BJBASKETBALL10 and MATTMIG4 made it through a tough field of 128 to meet in the finals last weekend, with BJBASKETBALL10 coming out on top to earn the first official Golden Ticket. Among the known names in the field they bested on their way there were yours truly, stlcardinals84, BigT44, Jeffeljefe, Ezellmt, beermakersfan, gneiffer07, theseige, braskey (aka Cal Spears), RotoGrindersCam, and Awesemo. Beermakersfan would make it the farthest of that group as he would be eliminated in the quarterfinals (round of 8).
Week 2 Qualifier Bracket
DOMSHAW3 and DANGELOBROS emerged from the field of 64 to square off for the Golden Ticket with DANGELOBROS emerging as one of the lucky 10 who will make the trip to Nashville for the RG Party and DRAFT Live Final. There were plenty of big names in this contest as well including repeat attempts by Beermakersfan, theseige, RotoGrindersCam, Awesemo, Braskey, gneiffer07, and ezellmt. That group was joined by notables like jakz101, ihaveareputation, and magicsportsguy in the quest to get the Golden Ticket but all would fall short of even making the round of 8.
Week 3 Qualifier Bracket
As if he hasn’t won enough this NFL season, RotoGrinders CEO Cal Spears (aka braskey) is in prime position to be one of the ten Golden Ticket winners as he is in the final four of this qualifier. He has a tough matchup against RG member ryanf26 and the winner of that contest will face off against the winner of the Awesemo-Ojlijen match. Yes that’s right, current #1 ranked Grinder Awesemo is among the final four in this 128 person head-to-head tournament. It should be interesting to see who emerges from these four to win the trip to Nashville (and hey if Cal wins it, he’ll save on airfare!).
Week 4 Qualifier Bracket
This 64 entrant contest is also down to it’s final four with CLEFANGK82 meeting OLDOWN on one side of the bracket for the right to be in the finals and RDIVEN and TBRZE542 battling it out on the other side. Oldowl defeated RG’s own DB730 in the quarterfinals to advance to the final four while RDIVEN would eliminate another RG’er in theseige in the same round.
There are no qualifier brackets available yet for the remaining contests but here’s a quick look at what remains…
— Week 5 Qualifier ends this week and is the first of the multiplayer draft tournaments now available on DRAFT. This qualifier featured six person drafts and is down to the final six with the last draft taking place tomorrow. The finalists are rushimpactauto, xtrmguy1, edav6618, RadThad954, DMS2cents, and tricky8181.
— Week 6 Qualifier also ends this week and featured five person drafts. They are down to the final five of mfonte, darko3131, dangelobros (going for Ticket #2), ojlijen (also in the running for two Golden Tickets), and fiforce
— Week 7 Qualifier will end next week and was a 64 entrant contest that featured four person drafts. 16 remain currently.
— Week 8 Qualifier is currently in the DRAFT lobby – it is a $140 entry fee, 100 person tournament, 10 person draft tournament that will award a Golden Ticket next week.
Here’s some more info about the DRAFT Live Final to be held in Nashville:
Winners of qualifiers will receive an entry into a 10-person $100K live draft final to be held in Nashville on Week 11 of the NFL season (November 18th). Included with this entry will be hotel and airfare for two. One important note – attendance at this event is mandatory (why would you not want to party with all the DFS legends?)!
The Live Final qualifier winners will be competing for the following prize pool:
