Sunday, February 25th

Good afternoon Grinders! Welcome to our newest addition to DRAFT Premium. Each day, I will go over the NBA slate with tier rankings for head-to-head, three man, and six man drafts. I’ll also provide a brief slate analysis as to how to attack drafts for the slate.

A couple notes to remember about DRAFT contests. One, there is no salary cap so you’re not worried about fitting players in on a budget. Raw fantasy points is what matters most, not the popular point per dollar. Second, while there is no late swap, if a player is ruled out, you will be able to swap them out. For more information on how this works, read the DRAFT Swap Rules Page – for this reason you can take some marginal chances in the later rounds on players that are questionable to play. Last, roster requirements are two guards, two forwards, and one center. All analysis and rankings will be based on that.

Slate Overview

1:00 PM EST: Detroit at Charlotte (-4.5) O/U 214.5
3:00 PM EST: New Orleans at Milwaukee (-3.5) O/U 222.5
3:30 PM EST: San Antonio at Cleveland (-5) O/U 216.5
8:00 PM EST: Philadelphia at Washington (-2) O/U 212.5
8:00 PM EST: Houston (-4.5) at Denver O/U 228.0

It’s a great five game slate today where we get to utilize players from all five games. On the main DFS sites, you’ll have to split up the player pool between a early and late slate. That’s not the case on DRAFT and with every game having a total over 212 and two games topping 220, there are plenty of viable options to choose from. I debated whether to list the top three forwards (Giannis, Davis, and LeBron) at the top of the rankings but guard is unusually weak today and with James Harden playing in the highest total game at Denver and having a projection differential of over 9 fantasy points over the G2, I’ve decided he makes the most sense as the top pick. I wouldn’t disagree though if you chose any of the top forwards as the top pick, but Harden will be the direction I would go.
