Sunday, March 4th

Good afternoon Grinders! Welcome to our newest addition to DRAFT Premium. Each day, I will go over the NBA slate with tier rankings for head-to-head, three man, and six man drafts. I’ll also provide a brief slate analysis as to how to attack drafts for the slate.

A couple notes to remember about DRAFT contests. One, there is no salary cap so you’re not worried about fitting players in on a budget. Raw fantasy points is what matters most, not the popular point per dollar. Second, while there is no late swap, if a player is ruled out, you will be able to swap them out. For more information on how this works, read the DRAFT Swap Rules Page – for this reason you can take some marginal chances in the later rounds on players that are questionable to play. Last, roster requirements are two guards, two forwards, and one center. All analysis and rankings will be based on that.

Slate Overview

3:30 PM EST: Phoenix at Atlanta (-2.5) O/U 224.0
6:00 PM EST: Charlotte at Toronto (-9) O/U 218.5
6:00 PM EST: Indiana at Washington (-3.5) O/U 209.0
7:00 PM EST: New Orleans (-3.5) at Dallas O/U 223.0
8:00 PM EST: Philadelphia (-1) at Milwaukee O/U 209.0
9:00 PM EST: Brooklyn at Los Angeles Clippers (-8) O/U 226.0
9:00 PM EST: New York (-2) at Sacramento O/U 215.0

Seven games on tap today with one early game so the drafts will have to be done early. Two forwards stand out at the top in Brow and Giannis and the Pelicans big man is the top overall pick of the day. Those two have a projection gap of over 5 fpts over the next group of players. There are a total of seven players with projections over 40 points – three forwards, three guards, and once center. 17 players have a projection of 35 fpts or more. Four forwards, three centers, and ten guards – telling us what we need to know. Guard is deep, forward is not. Nothing new here.
