Golfers I Am Overweight On
Joel Dahmen – Yeah, it’s an ugly field for this “second tier” event this week. In the first round on DRAFT, I hope to generally get picks that are lower in the pecking order. There’s no benefit to picking first. Dahmen faded a bit over the weekend at the Valspar a week ago, but he is still clearly a top 15 option in this weak field event. He has now posted back-to-back top 30 finishes, and he also played here a year ago. He finished that event with a solid 13th place finish, and Dahmen carries a nice combination of safety and upside here, making him a fine early pick.
Sungjae Im – So, the Vegas favorite in this event is pegged as one of the lower tier options in the field according to the DRAFT projections. I have yet to figure out how DRAFT sets their projections. It makes no sense, and the only question is how early is too early to take Im. He shouldn’t fall through the cracks long, so consider it a steal if he falls to the second round. He’s a no brainer selection this week and is my pick to win.
