RBC Canadian Open
Players I Am Overweight On
Dustin Johnson – There are a lot of top golfers I like this week, but DJ still tops the list. His missed cut at The Open last week might scare some people off at the top, so count your blessings if you are able to get him at anywhere other than the #1 spot. This is a bomb and gouge course where he can clearly excel, and I expect him to bounce back in a big way. Don’t overthink this.
Tommy Fleetwood – For whatever reason, DRAFT has about 80% of the field projected ahead of Tommy Fleetwood, who is one of the top 10 or 15 golfers in the world. Some might be scared off because Fleetwood doesn’t have a reputation as a bomber, and he is appearing in this event for the first time. However, he ranks 29th on Tour in driving distance and 27th in par five scoring this year, and he also ranks inside the top 25 in ball striking, and the risk is low if you can get him in the second or third round. Make sure that you don’t sleep on him with the buried projection.
