Scott Piercy – He’s my top pick over Emiliano Grillo, but it’s close. Piercy has a strong history on these types of layouts and has been in solid form in 2018. Lock him in as a top play this week.
Patrick Rodgers – I think he has a great shot to win this event, and there are about 30 golfers projected ahead of him on DRAFT. He has made five straight cuts with a pair of top ten finishes, and he absolutely thrives in weaker field events. I watched him almost win last year’s John Deere Classic, a similarly weak field event that often turns into a birdie-fest. With plenty of birdies required to contend this week, don’t be surprised if Rodgers vaults himself into consideration. Don’t feel like it’s a reach to take him in the early to middle rounds.
