Players I am Overweight On
Rickie Fowler – He would be my selection if I get the first pick this week. I like him a lot better than almost everyone else the DRAFT app has rated highly this week, so it’s a no brainer at the top. Fowler leads the Tour in bogey avoidance and is the defending champion of this event. He was in contention at the Waste Management a few weeks ago before he faded on Sunday. He’s a fine play on DRAFT if you are able to grab him.
Sergio Garcia – I was surprised to see how low he was on the DRAFT list this week. Garcia is an elite ball striker with a solid history at this event, and he generally uses this event as his first stateside tuneup for The Masters. He has a solid history at this event and certainly could be in contention come Sunday. There’s no way his projection should be lower than Lucas Glover. I will be overweight on Garcia for sure.
