Golfers I Am Overweight On
Dustin Johnson – He’s the best player on the planet right now. Period. Even though I am not targeting bombers necessarily at this course, DJ is still capable of overpowering a golf course like this one. He hit a WEDGE in for his second shot on one of the par fives in a practice round. A WEDGE. Even though he has the bomber label, Johnson isn’t necessarily weak in other areas of his game, though. If you get the first pick or he falls past the first pick to you, count your lucky stars and grab DJ.
Justin Rose and/or Rickie Fowler – Both players are logical selections at the latter half of the first round if you get a pick in that area. If you have the luxury of choosing between the two, Rose is the safer play with his strong links knowledge and the fact that he has played this course competitively. Fowler is playing well right now and finished inside the top ten last week at the Scottish Open, and this could be his time to shine in a major. I am fine with both players on DRAFT this week.
