DRAFT PGA Value Watch: U.S. Open
Each week, Justin Van Zuiden will list the players he is overweight (heavier exposure than the field) and underweight (lower exposure than the field) on. Dominate your DRAFT drafts with this cheat sheet from one of the best in daily fantasy sports!
U.S. Open
Golfers I Am Overweight On
Dustin Johnson – He has to be considered the top overall play on the board given his amazing skill set and the fact that he basically lapped the field in Memphis last week. If you get the #1 pick, you should take DJ. If you get him at anything other than the #1 spot, you should count your lucky stars. I’m fading him in salary cap GPPs because of ownership, but it’s hard to pass on him on DRAFT if he falls to your spot.
Justin Rose – Rose is probably my favorite first round pick if you can’t get DJ, even if you are picking second or third. Rose profiles as the best statistical play on the board with solid ranks in total driving (5th), strokes gained on approach (27th), and scrambling (18th). That grades him as the #1 overall play for me, and he isn’t priced like that except on FanDuel. Don’t overthink this one and get some exposure to Rose. It would surprise me greatly if he finished outside the top 20 given his 2018 form, and he could very much win this thing.
