DraftKings AFL DFS Picks and Projections
Quinton Narkle – M – $4,200: Looks to have moved directly into the midfield from what we saw in the pre-season and continuing into Round 1 for anyone that can remember back that far. Although he managed just 44 fantasy points, I will take that opportunity any day of the week at this price point. He loves the friendly confines down in Geelong and should bounce back in this role.
Tom Mitchell – M – $9,000: With no Jaeger O’Meara in the side this provides more potential for the “fantasy pig” to go large. With a ceiling of 120+ many will try to squeeze Mitchell into lineups. In 20 minute quarters, Mitchell scored 137 and 130 against the Hawks in 2018. The only issue is the injury lay off from a broken leg which may require a couple of games to be back at his best.
Mark Blivcas – D – $4,900: Hawks give up a stack of points to defenders (number 1 in 2019) and Blivcas averaged 88 fantasy in the two games last season against the Hawks. Can link with other Cats defenders in Harry Taylor and Mark O’Connor.
Jonathan Ceglar – R – $5,500: The only rock-solid Ruck play is the Hawks Ruckman in Ceglar. Back-up Ruckman Ben McEvoy has a new role as a Key Defender which we haven’t seen the results due to injuries in 2020. Geelong ruck stocks are a mess, so Ceglar is the main play here.
