LPL Summer Split Expected Starting Lineups
Let’s look at the expected lineups and salaries leading up to this Friday’s League of Legends LPL event. Note: The lineups are subject to change leading up to the event.
Team WE vs. EDward Gaming
05:00 AM ET
| Pos | Team WE | Edward Gaming |
|---|---|---|
| TOP | Morgan ( $5600 DK / $8800 FD ) | Aodi ( $6200 DK / $8200 FD) |
| JNG | beishang ( $6600 DK / $8900 FD ) | Jiejie ( $7000 DK / $8300 FD) |
| MID | Teacherma ( $6800 DK / $9200 FD ) | Scout ( $7400 DK / $8500 FD) |
| ADC | Jiumeng ( $7200 DK / $10200 FD ) | Hope ( $7800 DK / $9500 FD) |
| SUP | Missing ( $5200 DK / $7900 FD ) | Meiko ( $5600 DK / $7400 FD) |
UPDATE 6/4 12:00 – Junjia will start for EDG at Jungler.
Game Notes: Aodi is now the likely starter in the top Lane for Edward Gaming, though they still have xiaoxiang as well. We can count on the RotoGrinders LineupHQ optimizer to update when official starting lineups are announced. Hope finished the Spring split with the LPL’s top KDA (kill-death-assist ratio) at 7.7, and will look to help EDG improve as they were not among the true contenders in the playoffs. Jiumeng of Team WE had 15 kills in a game vs. BLG this past Spring, which was tied for second most in a single game among any player. Their starting 5 looks the same for now, though we should be aware of the presence of Shanks and Plex in the Mid Lane. Shanks was signed from the Academy roster, and could begin making noise for playing time if Team WE doesn’t improve early in this split. According to LeaguePedia, Teacherma has a contract set to expire on November 16th.
Suning vs.LNG Esports
07:00 AM ET
| Pos | Suning | LNG Esports |
|---|---|---|
| TOP | Bin ( $6000 DK / $8600 FD ) | Flandre ( $5600 DK / $7700 FD) |
| JNG | SofM ( $6800 DK / $8600 FD ) | Xx ( $6200 DK / $8000 FD) |
| MID | Angel ( $7600 DK / $8900 FD ) | Maple ( $7000 DK / $8400 FD) |
| ADC | huanfeng ( $7600 DK / $9700 FD ) | Light ( $6800 DK / $9300 FD) |
| SUP | SwordArt ( $5400 DK / $7700 FD ) | Duan ( $4800 DK / $7200 FD) |
UPDATE 6/4 12:00 – Chenlun17 will start for LNG at TOP. lwandy will start at SUP for LNG
Game Notes: Weiwei is no longer with Suning, and View was added to the bench over the offseason. The starting five otherwise looks similar to what we saw in spring, with Huanfeng looking to continue his high volume farming skills (9.8 CSM, 2nd in spring split). LNG will see Light take full control of the bottom lane with the departure of Asura becoming final. Flandre has been projected as the starting top lane for now, though we did see chenlun17 get reps towards the back end of the spring split. LNG as a team averaged a paltry 11.3 kills per game during the Spring split, which may cut it in other leagues but not in this uptempo association. They’ll need to do better than that in this respectable total game with a line of 27.5 total kills.

League of Legends DraftKings and FanDuel Picks
This upcoming LPL event this Friday is coming with plenty of action on both DK and FD. Let’s talk about a few players to keep our eyes on as we build our initial DFS lineups.
Huanfeng – Suning – $7,600 DK / $9,700 FD : There is much to like about a player like Huanfeng on a two-game slate, perhaps short of his ownership. For starters, they are favored to win and he had a least 5 kills in 14 of the 19 games they won in the previous split. He was most deadly playing Miss Fortune, where he found 6 of his top 7 games from a kill perspective. Light selected Miss Fortune zero times last split, and there is a solid chance we see an appearance from this dangerous lady barring any bans. Miss Fortune or not, Huanfeng is a strong farmer with high Kill participation that is tough to fade in this matchup.
Scout – Edward Gaming – $7,400 DK / $8,500 FD: He’s just going to be hard to kill in games where this team wins, and that’s something he showed last split. He only died more than twice in one game that EDG won. That’s going to keep him alive and well to rack up a solid floor of fantasy points should EDG maintain the upper hand as the odds suggest. He never touched double-digit kills in the spring, but did rack up double-digit assists on 5 separate occasions. With 76% overall kill participation and often higher in wins, Scout is a player you must consider if you agree EDG wins this series.
Flandre – LNG Esports – $5,600 DK / $7,700 FD : It’s a two-game slate, and every play can’t be the chalk. Sometimes, we have to consider who benefits if the underdog emerges victorious. Flandre is a player who would give us a very good chance in the top lane assuming he starts and LNG can pull off an upset. In the few games that LNG actually won the last split, he had fewer than 7 assists just twice and 10+ assists 6 times. Most of his big games were with the girthy sword of Aatrox, so it will be interesting to sweat that out during the draft. Four of his six 10+ assist games during wins came using that champion. The real reason to like Flandre is that any big game is likely to come with lower ownership relative to the field, and this makes for an interesting pivot in your LNG stacks. Maybe don’t leave him out if you expect LNG to get a W.
UPDATE 6/4 12:00 – chenlun17 will start at TOP for LNG. Flandre will start this split on the bench.
