Which stud are you fading in tournaments and why?
Notorious: Patrick Reed – He’s one of the worst on tour when it comes to good driving percentage. You can’t be wild off the tee here, as there are penalties all over the place with the water and the dense forests surrounding the course.
STLCardinals84: Patrick Reed – He’s overpriced and has never played here. It strikes me as odd that he would come to this event, as the course does not seem like a natural fit, as his driver often goes wayward on him. On a course with a lot of trouble, Reed and his poor driving accuracy metrics ring alarm bells. There’s no reason to pay the hefty salary for him here.
futureoffantasy: Chesson Hadley – He arrives with the best form in the field and the best form of his career. I don’t pick players purely on recent form. There is nothing in his historical stats that suggest he’ll keep this run going. Adding to that he’s finished outside the top 30 in 17 of his last 19 starts on courses under 7,100 yards. This isn’t a great course fit and the wind is finally calm this week. I’m expecting him to come back to earth.
