DraftStreet World Cup 2014: $100K Big Score
The World Cup is right around the corner and DraftStreet has announced their plans for the World Cup Tournaments. Since Soccer is a new addition to daily fantasy, we’ll break down all of the World Cup plans for this event over at DS including their World Cup scoring systems and World Cup schedules. World Cup Scoring System on DraftStreet
Shown below is the scoring system for the 2014 World Cup Games on DS:

A couple items to note here:
1) Shots on goal are worth a total of 1 point – You get 0.5 for the shot attempt and a 0.5 bonus for the shot making it on target.
2) Both goalies and defenders get bonus points if the team receives a shutout. This could make stacking a goalie and his defenders a solid strategy in the large field events.
3) Drawing a foul is worth 0.3 while committing one is worth -0.3. This definitely adds more value to forwards and retracts some value from midfielders and defenders.
4) Shootout goals/saves will not award fantasy points – similar to NHL Shootouts.
Roster Format
Like all sports on DraftStreet, you will have to work within the $100K Salary Cap. From that, you have to fill 8 roster spots:
- Goalkeeper, Defender, Defender, Midfield, Midfield, Forward, Forward, Flex
- Max 3 field players (4 total w/ goalie) from any 1 team
- Both Salary Cap and Pick Em Leagues will be available

- Satellites? $1, $2 and $5 Satellites Offered
Game will be posted in the DraftStreet lobby for direct buy-in on June 22nd
