FanDuel $250 NBA Freeroll Lineup
FanDuel $250 NBA Freeroll Lineup

The $250 freeroll is here, thanks FanDuel! Last I checked there were 685 entries already signed up! With an estimated field around 800, only 14 spots paying, and the top spot being just over $60…I think it’s safe to say you’re going to need to throw some curve balls into the mix to stand a chance at winning this sucker. First place is going to be all about thinking different. What are the masses going to do? If you can answer that, then figure out what the opposite is, you’ve found yourself a good starting point. Here’s my starting point – a lineup of some studs and some questionable plays, all of whom are equipped to navigate a massive freeroll field. It’s all about ceilings for me tonight; if he can put up 50, I don’t care about consistency or averages. Hopefully all the stars will align and this somewhat random lineup will shine all over the FanDuel leaderboard on this fine Monday.
| Position | Player | Opponent | Salary | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PG | Derrick Rose | MIL@CHI | $8,500 | He’s in the MVP talks right now, and for good reason. He’s always been a scoring Point Guard, but now his assists are up as well. |
| PG | Russell Westbrook | OKC@NO | $8,500 | Westbrook might have one of the nicest averages lines you could ask for, and he has been an absolute phenom this season. Normally I reach at PF for the Griffin-Love combo since Points and Rebounds are the most consistent categories, but for the freeroll I’m going to roll the dice on two of the elite PGs in the NBA. |
| S.G. | Nick Young | WAS@NY | $6,200 | Gilbert’s protege’ continues to do well when given the opportunity to play in Agent Zero’s old spot. Only points – but he can put up a lot of them. |
| S.G. | Monta Ellis | SA@GS | $8,900 | Monta Rushmore’s ankle appears to be OK, and he possesses said ‘ceiling’ that I am looking for in my players tonight. |
| SF | Andre Iguodala | PHO@PHI | $5,900 | I’m guessing this means that FanDuel’s player pricing is an on-going fix. |
| SF | Dorell Wright | SA@GS | $7,400 | It’s tough for the entire Warriors’ back court to have solid nights at the same time, so I guess you could say that I’m rooting against Curry tonight. |
| PF | Rashard Lewis | WAS@NY | $6,500 | His price still hasn’t hit the value he has in his new role, tonight post-Wizards-trade. Also, he’s playing the Knicks. |
| PF | J.J. Hickson | CLE@NJ | $5,600 | The Cavaliers might be able to give the Washington Generals a run for their money these days…Anyone still healthy for the Cavs is a viable value pick right now. As metnioned above, I went for value at PF tonight so I could go elite at PG. |
| C | Andrew Bogut | MIL@CHI | $7,500 | There’s only 3 centers on the Monday list capable of 50 fantasy point games in my eyes…and Bogut is the cheapest. |
