FanDuel Announces 2012 DFBC: $250,000 in Prizes and Live Final
FanDuel has just announced their next major event, and they’ve once again upped the ante. The 2012 Daily Fantasy Baseball Championship (DFBC) will sport a massive $250,000 prizepool, up from $100,000 the previous year and surpassing the $200,000 awarded for the FanDuel Fantasy Football Championship this past season. Last year, the entire DFBC event took place online, but after apparent success with a live final in the FFFC, the 2012 DFBC will now hold the finals live in Las Vegas. All 15 qualifying finalists will win an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas to compete and watch the games unfold from the Lagasse’s Stadium, and the winner will walk away with the largest prize in Daily Fantasy to date: $100,000.
The 15 qualifying events will be held every Friday beginning April 6th and running through July 13th. Entry to the qualifiers cost $10, and users are allowed unlimited entries. Each week, the user with the highest score will qualify to head to Vegas for the finals.
