FanDuel Announces NFL Half Slates

Did your single-game lineups get off to a rough start? Did you miss the deadline to register or see your favorite GPP fill before you could get your lineups entered? Did something that occurred in the first half change your original opinion?

Well, there’s good news. FanDuel just announced half-time slates!

These slates will be available for most prime-time NFL games and are set to lock shortly before the second-half kickoff.

The format is simple; pick any five players from the game to be on your roster, with one player being designated the “Captain” who will be credited with 1.5X his fantasy points.

This new game type creates a new strategy as players can take what they’ve learned from the first half (ie: coaching philosophies, injuries, weather, etc.) and strategically predict how the second half of the game will play out. NFL coaches have been making half-time adjustments for years, and now it’s time for DFS players to do the same!

Look for these new games in the FanDuel lobby and make sure to take good notes on what you’ve observed in the first half. Unfortunately, users in Pennsylvania, Missouri, Colorado, and Arkansas aren’t eligible to play in these contests at this time.
