Hello Grinders. We have a four-game main slate this Sunday with some really interesting games. At first glace, there’s not a ton of value, so we’re going to have to take some chances and get creative. Let’s do a quick rundown on some news and notes:

Clippers: Danilo Gallinari (Out)
Heat: Hassan Whiteside (Out)
Lakers: Lonzo Ball had calf tightness on Saturday so monitor the news for him
Spurs: Kawhi Leonard (Out)
Timberwolves: Nemanja Bjelica (Questionable); Karl-Anthony Towns (Probable)
Warriors: Stephen Curry (Probable); Kevin Durant (Probable); Andre Iguodala (Questionable)

THE CORE

1) Russell Westbrook, PG, Oklahoma City Thunder – $10,800

It’s hard to name Russell Westbrook a core play in a brutal matchup against the San Antonio Spurs, who are holding opposing point guards to the fewest fantasy points per game. The Spurs are tied with Memphis for the slowest pace, and are tied with the Thunder for the third best defensive efficiency.

So why am I recommending Westbrook in a tough matchup where he’ll likely draw Danny Green defense? He’s been in fantastic form recently, hitting 54+ FanDuel points in five of his last six games. The Spurs did hold him to 37.3 FanDuel points in a matchup two weeks ago, but in that game he shot 5-for-22 with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. I’m willing to take my chances that he improves upon that last game.
