Which useful trend or statistic stuck out most during your research?

STLCardinals84: There is a ton of injury news to monitor today. Half of the Spurs’ squad is questionable. Kyle Lowry is a game-time decision. Stephen Curry is questionable. Will Gary Harris return from his personal absence? This has been a very challenging survey to fill out early in the day. Expect a lot of late-breaking news tonight, even though we only have a four game night slate.

Stevietpfl: The Washington Wizards are celebrating Polish Heritage night tonight. There is no chance I’m fading Macin Gortat tonight. He went for 12 points and 17 rebounds on Polish Heritage night last year.

BigT44: The Spurs are playing in the late game which always is a nightmare because you just don’t ever know who they will sit and play so in the late game make it even more interesting. With Kawhi out a lot of Spurs guys will be chalky like LMA and I will be staying clear of that spot completely and almost hoping for some major news that gets some of the people.

What’s your hot take of the day?

STLCardinals84: Two late scratches come after lineup lock and the world gets upset about it. Now, seriously, I’ll say that Nikola Jokic throws up a massive dud tonight with under 25 fantasy points.

Stevietpfl: Kris Dunn goes off for 45+ fantasy points and post a double-double

BigT44: Almost going with my last point I think the Spurs could sit some guys and tilt the slate but I will be fading and enjoying the karnage.

Who will you be most overweight on compared to the field and why?

STLCardinals84: John Wall – The fact that this is the tail end of a back-to-back set worries me a bit, but the point guard position is very thin tonight thanks to the uncertain status of Kyle Lowry and Stephen Curry. Even if both of them play, I wouldn’t expect a full complement of minutes. As such, Wall is the premier spend at the position, and he has had two fantastic games in a row. I wouldn’t expect a slow down against a Nets team that plays at a super fast pace. He looks healthy again, and it is showing in his numbers. Just be careful to make sure news doesn’t come out about him possibly being limited with the back-to-back set.

Stevietpfl: Fred VanVleet – If Lowry plays, I will have to change my thought process a lot for tonight’s slate, but I expect him to sit again tonight. VanVleet outplayed Wright against the Cavs, and should play 22-25 minutes tonight. He has a hgh usage rate with the second unit, and I like his upside in this matchup tonight.

BigT44: This is an impossible spot for me to do right now because my most overweight is depending on who is out tonight between Curry and Lowry. if either guy is out then DeRozan or Durant become a complete lock to play in all formats. If both guys are out then that is best case scenario and I will play both guys in the same game which is what I really want to do. It is a big game for Toronto so I wouldn’t be surprised if Lowry plays but I want them both to sit badly. Pay attention to the news late in the day and you will have my all in play of the night either KD or DeRozan. if somehow both guys play then my guy will swing over to Nikola Jokic who I love against the Spurs but I strongly prefer the earlier option.
