Which useful trend or statistic stuck out most during your research?

STLCardinals84: Jason Kidd has actually become a very fantasy-friendly coach. All the starters outside of John Henson have been playing heavy minutes, and Antetokounmpo and Middleton rank first and second in the NBA in minutes per game. Thanks, Jason, for being fun again!

a25smith: The NO/NY game carries a tight spread at just 1.5 points and both teams are struggling defensively. The Knicks are 25th in total DVP and have allowed over 118 points in 3 of their past five games. Meanwhile the Pelicans have allowed at least 109 points in 3 of their last 4 games so it’s a great game environment. In the two game late slate the status of Domantas Sabonis is huge as the Pacers are already without Myles Turner, which would lead to a ton of available minutes in the Pacers’ frontcourt and a potential big day on the glass for Tyson Chandler

RotoMonkey83: Assuming Sabonis plays, he’s a very strong play given he’s sporting a 27.2% usage rate while produciing nearly 1.20 fantasy points per minute with Myles Turner off the floor. He’s a very strong play, but pay attention to news as he’s currently listed as questionable.

What’s your hot take of the day?

STLCardinals84: Victor Oladipo drops 40+ actual points on the Suns.

a25smith: Jarrett Jack tops 6x value on both sites and Tyson Chandler grabs 15 rebounds.

RotoMonkey83: Enes Kanter double doubles with 20 real points and 10+ rebounds

Who will you be most overweight on compared to the field and why?

STLCardinals84: Hassan Whiteside (early) and Victor Oladipo (late) – I like both of these guys a lot today. Whiteside should smash against a Bucks team that really struggles on the interior, and his minutes are trending in the right direction. He has also averaged 14 points and 13 rebounds per game over the last three contests. Oladipo should smash in a pace up game against a weak defensive team in the Suns, as well.

a25smith: Jarrett Jack (early) and Tyson Chandler #dragan-bender)Dragan Bender”:/players/dragan-bender-35228 (late) – Value is tough to come by on two game slates and I want to fit in some expensive big men on the early slate (Boogie, Davis, Whiteside). That leaves me searching for value at the guard spot. Jack is very affordable, starting and averaging 32 MPG over his past five games. The matchup is also solid against a New Orleans’ team that is 17th in DvP against PG this season. As far as the Suns bigs, Chandler has double digit rebounding games in six straight games and is facing an Indana team that is without Myles Turner, could be without Domantas Sabonis and is just 20th in rebounding differential. Marquese Chriss is also expected to miss another game, which opens up more big minutes for Bender, who is averaging over 35 MPG with Chriss missing the majority fo the last two games.

RotoMonkey83: DeMarcus Cousins (early) and Victor Oladipo (late). For me, both are the top plays on their respective slates, and on two game slates, I think it’s imperative to be overweight on the guys that are likeliest to post the top fantasy scores. These guys have so much upside they can make up for the duds you’re likely to roster as you’re picking through the shallow pool of players.
