Friday, February 12th - FanDuel Single Game Analysis: LAC @ CHI

Is your main slate lineup looking rough? Or did you not get off work in time to make one? Or just looking for a little more action? Don’t worry, FanDuel has you covered with their Single Game format. Monday night’s marquee game is LAC @ CHI starting at 8 PM ET. You can make a lineup with players from just this game. Below are some options for players to use in the MVP slot and other cheap options that will allow you to fit in the big dogs.

Top MVP Options

Kawhi Leonard ($16,000)Paul George remains sidelined with a toe injury which means one thing: play Kawhi in your MVP slot. Leonard’s usage rate has jumped to 33.2% in 323 minutes with George off the court this season and he’s averaging over 1.4 FanDuel points per minute. RotoGrinders has Leonard projected for nearly eight more points than the next player in line (Zach LaVine) which makes this an easy MVP decision.

Zach LaVine ($15,500) – The gap between LaVine and the third-highest projected player (Thad Young) is even larger at a 13+ point difference, which makes LaVine the easy STAR player in this game. LaVine has been on fire offensively, averaging 40 ppg over his last three contests and he’s averaging over 50 FD ppg over his last four games. Despite the worse projection, LaVine’s scoring upside keeps him in play as a contrarian MVP option over Kawhi if you’re looking to differentiate your lineups a bit.

Top Value Options

Patrick Williams ($9,000) – A thinned out frontcourt has led to increased playing time for the rookie who is averaging over 33 minutes per game over Chicago’s last five games. Williams’ fantasy production has been a bit sporadic over that stretch but his 34-minute projection easily makes him the top value option priced under $10,000 in this game.

Ivica Zubac ($9,500) – Value is a bit more difficult to find on the Clippers with Ivica Zubac projecting as the highest-scoring LAC player under $10,000. Zubac’s minutes aren’t very stable coming off the bench but he’s historically been a solid fantasy producer and is once again averaging over 1 FD point per minute this season. Zubac’s best path for upside is being a part of the closing unit which would boost his overall projection into the 30 FD point range.
