Golf DFS: GCU Championship Round 2 Breakdown
Top-ranked grinder, Notorious, breaks down his favorite daily fantasy golf plays at various salary ranges for the GCU Championship. Who should you be building around? Find out below.
GCU Championship
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a semblance of a field on tap this week in Phoenix. The GCU Championship will be played at the newly redesigned Grand Canyon University Golf Club, which is a Par 71 that measures 7,239 yards. While the course is a lot longer than the ones we’ve seen the past few weeks, golfers should still be able to post low scores. In the GCU Championship here in November, Mark Anguiano won the three-round event with a score of 18-under par. This won’t matter for showdown purposes, but the top 43 and ties will make the cut after the second round of play.
In case you missed it last week, the Outlaw Tour is really stepping up their game. They have added events to the schedule, they brought us live coverage through Periscope, and they have a great Twitter account. Highlights from last week include one of the cameramen being too hung over to show up to the course. The tour also added hole-by-hole scoring updates (which had a few hiccups, but hey it’s better than nothing). While this is still a mini tour in Arizona that most have never heard of, you have to respect the hustle they have for their new fan base. As soon as they get Shot Tracker, they might supplant the PGA Tour as the best tour in the world. Kidding aside, it’s been a lot of fun covering the Outlaw Tour.
