Grinders Rankings Update: 1/13/2013

Another week goes by and as the NFL Daily Fantasy season comes to a halt, NBA begins heating up and NHL prepares to finally start. It was a slow week on the Grinders leaderboard but I fully expect things to get going real quick once NBA and NHL are running simultaneously. Two true daily fantasy sports should create some interesting movement on the GLB. Anyways, we still had a bunch of noteworthy players coming out red-hot this week so let’s get to the GLB Breakdown.

Top-25 Leaderboard Movement

It was a pretty light week for movement within the top-100, but the Top-25 players on the GLB sure mixed it up. For starters, Bcrev229 continued to climb the board again this week and joins the Top-25 for the first time after making a 4 place jump from 29th overall to 25th. Next we have another new Top-25 guy in Rooks19 who had a top ten finish in last Friday night’s DFBBC and is riding a red hot wave of NBA daily fantasy action. Rooks19 moved from 26th to 23rd this week. Mickdawgx81 continued his climb toward the Top-10 with a 2 spot jump this week from 18th overall to 16th and I’m sure that won’t be the last we hear from him. DSFC Champ DP47 again moved up within the Top-10 this week, going from 10th overall into the 9 spot so congrats to DP! Then the notorious Notorious moved up the leaderboard for the first time in a few weeks with a monster 7 days of NBA winnings that propelled him from 14th to 13th overall. Big props to Notorious who’s winning solid coin and putting together the DS and FD Expert NBA Lineups during the week. And last but FAR from least is Bluestem89 who once again gets a shoutout in the rankings article following another upward push in the Top-25. Bluestem89 jumps from 16th to 15th overall so congrats go out there for sure.

Top-100 Movement

As I mentioned before, it was a pretty slow week for Top-100 movement as we only had 2 new players and 2 players make leaps of over 5 positions. As the NFL season winds down it seems to be slowing the rankings movement but I’m sure once NHL kicks back off we will be seeing plenty of activity once again with two truly daily sports ongoing. But onto this week’s movers. First up we have the two new players to the Top-100. KirklandGuy joins the leaderboard at 99th overall so big props to him and best of luck continuing your climb up the rankings! And then Thesureshot sneaks into the Top-100 in the final spot at #100 overall and looking to move up some more and solidify a long term position in this elite echelon of Grinders.

For movers, the two notables this week were Tackticks and FastEddieFear both of whom were new to the leaderboard a week ago I believe. Tackticks snuck in last week with the 98th overall position and then had a HUGE week this week to move an incredible 15 places up the Top-100 to 83rd overall. Can’t wait to see what Tackticks brings to the table next. And FastEddieFear put together an 8 place jump this week to go from 99th overall and skating on the edge of the Top-100 to solidifying himself as a Top-100 player at 91st overall presently. Big congrats to both of these players and best of luck going forward!

NBA Mid-Season Rankings Update

It’s not quite the halfway point of the NBA season but it is close so I thought I’d take a look at the Top-25 NBA Grinders right now.
