Grinders Rankings Update 5/17: Movement In The Top 3

There wasn’t a drastic amount of movement this week among the Grinders, so this rankings update will be brief. Nonetheless, the players who were able to make moves did so impressively. The week in rankings can be summarized with four new players on the leaderboard, two double-digit leaps, and one player moving his way up in the top ten. The week in sports can be summarized by a fairly uneventful Conference Semifinals so far in the NBA, an intriguing set up of NHL Conference Finals and the typical ebbs and flows of the long MLB season. So without further ado, here are your Grinder Rankings top headliners of the week.

Top Ten Commotion: 2nd and 3rd Switch Places
The highlight in the top ten this week comes from Maxdalury who has absolutely triumphed on the NBA circuit this season and moves to 2nd place overall. Just a couple of short weeks after Beermakersfan was able to claim the top spot, he has slid to a respectable third place. BrettFavre444 maintains his #1 ranking with a comfortable lead, but the battle between Maxdalury and Beermakersfan has likely just begun. They are neck and neck as we speak, so it’ll be interesting to see how competitive the two can be in the weeks upcoming.

Double-Digit Jumpers: Two Players Making Big Moves
There were two guys able to make massive leaps this week, both of which were new players from last week. The first was last weeks headlining newbie on the Grinders Leaderboard, Quahogs. As I mentioned last week, I love his player name and I’m starting to really respect the way he plays the game. He was able to jump a whopping 25 spots from #69 overall to #44. Great work to Quahogs. The other player is a guy who I challenged last week as he teetered on the 100th overall ranking. Nexten27 rose to the challenge and jumped 15 spots to #85. An incredible week for Nexten27 who defied the odds and not only remained on the leaderboard, but was able to leap up it in a big way!

Fresh Meat: New Players On The Board
This week is highlighted by four new players on the leaderboard, three of which sliding in the 90-100 range and one guy being able to stand just outside the top 50. The biggest new addition of the week goes to Shulkin whose 54th position is an incredible way to welcome yourself to Grinder Nation. The second highest standing new player is Alsmizzle whose name slides off the tongue and whose game is clearly hot right now. The third new addition to the board is Bigsmoothjoe who sounds like the kind of guy I would love to hang out with. Congrats Bigsmoothjoe. The final new player is under the same scrutiny as Nexten27 had last week, being in the 100th overall place. That is Bombomguido who should hang out more with Sojerseyhustler(ranked #24) to form a dynamic New Jersey duo. Regardless, Bombomguido is up against the odds and we hope to see him make similar moves as Nexten27 this week.
