KillaB's Week 6 Cash-Game Lineup Recap
Hopefully a few of you reading this article made some nice cash in the DraftKings million dollar tourney. I had a couple nice lineups, but nothing that brought home any substantial paydays.
This week I look at my cash-game lineup on DraftKings.
Starting Quarterback
Peyton Manning (21.48) – Albeit on the road, Manning had one of the best matchups of the week. The fact that I am disappointed in 237 passing yards and three TDs probably seems a little strange. Unfortunately, I paid top dollar for Manning’s floor and that bothers me a bit. I paid for a high-floor QB and I got just that.
Starting Running Backs
Le’Veon Bell (14.5) – Man! Can Bell get any better of a matchup on back-to-back weeks? And he provides mediocre outputs? I was hoping for plenty of touches from Bell going against a bad Cleveland run defense, but it’s tough to go to the ground-and-pound when you fall behind by too much. Will he answer the bell (pun intended) next week?
LeSean McCoy (20.4) – How long could one of the best RBs in the game underperform? He had a great matchup, was at home, and it was a primetime game. It seemed like all the stars were aligned for a big game. Did I mention McCoy was priced at $6K? He was the first guy I built the lineup around.
Starting Wide Receivers
Brandon Marshall (20.3) – Marshall was another top-talent player at what felt like a value play. Though B-Marsh has been banged up the past couple weeks, it seems he is back to 100 percent. No matter how talented Alshon is, Cutler always goes to his guy when he needs him.
Mohamed Sanu (31) – It just seemed too good to be true. A.J. Green and Marvin Jones were out. Who else was Dalton going to throw the ball to…Dane Sanzaenbacher? Oh, and he only cost me $5,300.
Jarius Wright (7.8) – More like Jarius Wrong. I went with a value play here to allow me to fit in a couple more expensive plays. I also really liked how much Bridgewater looked his way in his first start. It seemed like the gameplan was to get Teddy to make some easy throws, which is typically where Jarius factors in through bubble screens and underneath routes. Unfortunately, there was nothing good to say about the Vikings’ performance. Thankfully, he still returned 2.5x his price, and that’s all I needed.
Starting Tight End
Rob Gronkowski (16.4) – The trend seems to be pointing up for Gronk. His snap counts are increasing and he’s been targeted 20 times in the past two weeks. Six catches for 94 yards was a decent day production-wise, especially after he had another injury scare.
FLEX
Joique Bell (17.7) – It was tough not to play Bell after the Reggie Bush news came out. Facing one of the worst run defenses in the Vikings, the only concern was whether he would take another shot to the head and receive another concussion. I found myself cursing Theo Riddick’s name early in the game, but Bell got his touches eventually.
Starting Defense/Special Teams
Seahawks (12) – DraftKings really made it easy for me to pick a defense this week. Let’s see…I can have one of the top defenses at home at a more than reasonable price? Although they lost to the Cowboys at home, that defense knows how to ball hawk. I can’t argue when I don’t have to pay top dollar for a good defense and they return almost four times their value.
