League of Legends LPL DFS Preview: Tuesday, July 7th
Slate Overview
Tuesday is another two-game slate and you all should know the drill by now: get creative! DraftKings pricing allows you to double-stack the two favorites with an ADC at the CPT/MID position which will likely result in even more overlap than normal. I can already tell you that iBoy (CPT) – bin – Leyan – Zeka – huanfeng – Hang – Suning will likely be the most duplicated lineup and you should be prepared to split first place numerous ways if it hits in tournaments. If you’re wanting to differentiate you’ll need to grab exposure to underdogs and look to less traditional builds.
Strategy Refresher
In general, the 2-game strategy really doesn’t differ much from larger slates, but it is inherently difficult to create “good” unique lineups with everyone using the same player pool of 20. There is really no trend or strategic edge when it comes to these slates, so the most basic and common DFS/LOL principles will hold true. 4/3 stacks will be the most likely optimal route, with an occasional 4/2/1 with double Mid or ADC. We have seen double Tops pan out to win GPPs, so this really comes down to the contests you’re playing and how many lineups you are entering. My suggestion for anything other than MME, is take a look at the number of games.
For tomorrow, with both of these being Best of 3, I would suggest stacking 4/3 in smaller contests and only venturing into 4/2/1 or 3/3/1 with more than 10 lineups. 4/3 will guarantee the most upside if either game is swept, which is the downside of a 1 off, where they miss out on points from an entire game.
