League of Legends LPL DFS Preview: Tuesday, June 9th

Slate Overview

DISCLAIMER: What I am about to say is a bit of a downer. If you’re excited about Tuesday’s LPL slate and want to keep it that way you can just skip down to the game-by-game breakdown.

OK, with that disclaimer out of the way, let me give you my quick thoughts on this slate. It sucks. Don’t play it. Unless you’re cool going super contrarian, just go ahead and catch up on some sleep tonight. Here are some mostly unedited messages that I wrote to Chris Gimino earlier today, and while they are a bit hyperbolic I think they do a good job conveying what you’re up against on this slate.

“I can’t wait to start writing about how QuiQui and Lwx are going to be 100% owned and how you can turn $15 into $25 if you get first in the big GPP. You are not going to make any money running 4-3 FPX/TES builds on this slate. If you run one chalk lineup and bink first place you’ll make a few bucks but if you max enter and just play chalk you may be a dog to actually make money even if you hit first place. People that won’t blink an eye if they blow through $2,250 (150 lineups in the $15) if a single lineup doesn’t place in the money are salivating though – it won’t be difficult to land on a unique lineup if you grab any exposure to either of the underdogs. Some sort of Rogue Warriors one-off could be enough to get you unique if that series goes three.”
