Slate Overview
You know it’s a weird slate when your team is full of players from winning teams and you still fail to cash GPPs. As expected, TES stacks were the path to the optimal lineup on Wednesday but you needed to avoid pairing them with Team Dynamics players if you wanted to make any money. Team Dynamics won their series 2-1 but it was extremely low-scoring. OMG also won a fairly low-scoring 2-0 series but they outpaced Team Dynamics resulting in TES + OMG stacks winning tournaments.
Thursday’s slate is similar to Wednesday’s in the sense that we have a massive favorite in DragonX. Anytime there is such a big favorite we typically see the slate turn into a chalk fest. I don’t expect DRX players to reach the ownership levels we saw TES (except for on FanDuel where they are egregiously priced) hit on Wednesday but tournament strategy will still center around how much exposure you want to grab to DRX in your personal builds.
