UFC 282

UFC 282 is perhaps not the fight card we had all hoped for. The loss of Jiri Prochazka from the main card billing was a dagger to the gut of fight fans, knowing we missed out on a rematch of a sensational light heavyweight title bout between Glover Teixeira and the Chzeck Samurai. Now the pay per view event has turned into the Paddy Pimblett and Dana White show, and everyone else is along for the ride. The new main event is an important fight to determine the future of the light heavyweight division. The UFC’s sole purveyor of Polish Power, Jan Blachowicz looks to reassert himself as champion while the oncoming Magomed Ankalaev plans on extinguishing his championship fire once and for all. Questions will be answered on Saturday night, beginning with the bantamweights.
