Look Out! It's Rudzilla!

Weekly Rankings Update: 03/05/11

Rudzia555 has rightfully earned one of the best nicknames in the industry. Rudzia555 is often called Rudzilla, supposedly for the terror he causes all of us, average players, across the Daily Fantasy world. Well, now he’s come to RotoGrinders to terrorize the rankings, and ‘Rudzilla’ has made an impressive debut at the #2 spot with just under 100,000 Grinder points.

Rudzia555 has racked up over $197,000 in winnings across the big four sports on FanDuel, DraftStreet, FSL and 365, he plays the highest stakes available, is one of the biggest winners around – and he’s only been playing for 5 months. Recently, I chatted with Rudzia about his debut on RotoGrinders, and he told me that it’s “kinda crazy, because he’s only five months into his fantasy life.” He’s never really “played MLB and doesn’t play much NFL” and that so far “it’s been a wild ride.” He also told me that he is “hoping his success can translate into the MLB season.”

This all begs the question: Will Rudzia be able to grab the #1 spot from Kaiseroll13 if he keeps up this torrid pace? It sounds like Rudzia still isn’t sure, and that MLB season will be the deciding factor. Projecting the race for #1, he told me: “If I’m any good at MLB, maybe by the end of this year. I’ve heard Kaiser is the best there is at MLB, so I may be overestimating that time frame…I’m still very unproven in MLB, so I guess only time will tell.”

Climbers – DBirocci Jumps 7 8 Spots

Woah. Someone is on fire. It doesn’t happen often that we have the same Big Climber in back-to-back weeks, but that’s just what Dibirocci accomplished. Last week Dibriocci was able to jump 7 spots to 46th. This week he jumped 8 more all the way up to 38th. If he keeps up this pace he’ll be in the Top 25 in no time!

1,000 Point Club – I Was Once Lost Jumps to 7th with a 6,000+ Point Week

IWasOnceLost was yet again lost in the commotion of another Top Grinder joining the site. I don’t think he minds. He’s been sitting back and creeping up the rankings slowly but surely. IWasOnceLost was the only Grinder in the Top 10 to actually gain a spot this week after the arrival of Rudzia – surely it had something to do with an over 6,000 point week! Meanwhile, number 1 ranked Kaiseroll13, the only player so far to top 100,000 Grinder Points, continued to pad his lead with a 5,396 point week. The big names continued to poor in huge weeks including Ohmsy who again made the list, headChopper who dominated the large-fields last week, #10 Westy, and PrimeTime420 himself. Great work guys!
