Maxdalury #1 In Final NBA Seasonal Rankings

Welcome to another week’s update of the Grinders Rankings. This week we have some twists and turns on the top 100 board, as well as a special NBA season wrap-up. That’s right, this hectic NBA season has finally come to a close, and it might be a long time until daily fantasy sports sees as much NBA action as it did this year. Tons of games each night led to thrilling showdowns and much money to be won. GPPs across the board on every site, night in and night out. I know I had a blast. But it’s finally over, and we move onto baseball season. The MLB has always offered the opportunity to pick from a plethora of players each night, so the transition should be pretty simple for NBA gurus. And without further ado, let’s break down this week’s rankings article with the weekly updates as well as recognizing the top 5 NBA Grinders.
Top Ten Update: Only One Change
Only one player was able to move within the top ten this week, and that was Beermakersfan. He has been riding a roller coaster of daily fantasy peaks and valleys in the past few weeks, even standing at the top of the mountain for seven solid days. He dropped to third last week but came back stronger than ever and reclaimed the second position. Congratulations to Beermakersfan, a loyal Grinder and very successful player.
New Players On The Board
There was only one new player on the board this week, and he has actually been playing daily fantasy successfully for a long time now. RotoGrinders is now happy to say that Hester8157 is a member of the site and joins the leaderboard at an incredible 17th place. With over $131,000 in winnings and 20K of that coming in April, Hester8157 joins Grinder Nation as an immediate threat to push for the top ten. Keep an eye out for this new Grinder as he works to catapult up the leaderboard even further.
Movers and Shakers: Three Double-Digit Jumps
Three incredible jumps made by extremely successful players this week. The smallest double-digit jump of the week was an impressive 15 places up! Bcrev229 was able to move from 60th to 45th with $10K in winnings over the past week. Big ups to Bcrev229 on that. The second biggest jump of the week stands at 17 places and comes to us from Bsktrap. Last week, Bsktrap stood on the outer fringe of the top 100 but he moved up from 95th to 78th with over $5K in winnings during the month of May. Great work to Bsktrap. The biggest jump of the week was a whopping 30 places and comes from one of the hottest DFS players around. Nexten27 used $10K in winnings over the past week, and $22K for the month of May so far, to jump from 85th to 55th place. If he keeps on winning at this rate, we will be seeing him make big moves every week.

NBA Season Wrap-Up
The NBA season for daily fantasy is pretty much over. There are a few sites thinking about putting up maybe a couple of extra games for those of you with that hankering for fantasy hoops action, but for the most part there will be no more NBA drama in the DFS world. So with that, we can put a cap on the NBA Rankings for the 2011-2012 season. Let me start by saying that this season was unlike any other. Right off the bat, DraftStreet was sending out emails to its users explaining how there will be GPP’s every day with all of the games and just non-stop action. This season can be best described with two simple ideas. 1) Injuries/Fatigue. Injuries and fatigue gave us all heartburn at some point during the NBA season. Whether it was Popovich randomly benching his stars for a night off, or the countless nights we started a player who we later found out was a VERY late scratch. 2) D-League Players. Jeremy Lin, Lester Hudson, and even a few more D-Leaguers actually had an impact on the NBA season and DFS alike. It was remarkable how these players swept the sports world and became immediate sleeper sensations to us daily fantasy junkies. Alright well now that we’ve summarized the NBA season, let’s look at just how successful some of the Grinders on the hardwood.
The top Grinder during the NBA season was Maxdalury, who made it known from the start that he was here to play high-stakes and feared no one. He pretty much set a bar that couldn’t be reached after $245,000 IN WINNINGS during the month of January. That’s just silliness. So props to Maxdalury on his successful season. The second ranked NBA Grinder is the #1 Grinder on the overall leaderboard and that is BrettFavre444. He seems to be a threat in every sport, clearing a path of destruction in his wake. Rounding out the top 5 are the afore mentioned Beermakersfan, Rudzia555 and Dinkpiece. All of these guys had monstrous NBA seasons and are likely very sad the season is over so the winning, at least in hoops, must stop.

That wraps up our Weekly Grinders Rankings Update. Beware of all the guys in these rankings as they are just on fire in the DFS ranks, also one last shout out to DrapeStack, who has been killing it over on DraftDay and not getting the proper rankings recognition!
Just as a heads up, we are planning on making some slight changes to our rankings formula to go into effect at the start of June. If you have any specific feedback about the rankings please email support@rotogrinders.com and tell us what you would like to see. Thanks for reading and as always, keep grinding.
