2020 Memorial Tournament PGA DFS Preview
Last week was a lot of fun at Muirfield Village and we get to do it all over again this week. The course should play a little different, as it will featured different tee boxes, longer rough, faster greens, and tougher pin placements. As a whole, I expect the course to play a little tougher than it did for the Workday Charity Open. If the greens are tougher to hit, this will place an even bigger emphasis on scrambling. If you can find golfers that gain strokes with their irons and around the greens, you will put yourself in a good position come Sunday.
DraftKings + FanDuel PGA DFS Projections for the Memorial Tournament
Patrick Cantlay

DK: $9,800 — Proj: 74.1
FD: $11,600 — Proj: 77.4
I don’t see how you can fade Cantlay this week. Yes, the field is amazing and there are so many good options, but does anyone have a higher floor/ceiling combination than Cantlay? He has made 19 straight cuts on the PGA Tour and hasn’t finished worse than T21 during that stretch. Additionally, he has a win, two seconds, and two thirds in those 19 outings. If you like course history, he won here last year and finished T7 here last week after shooting one of the lowest rounds of the day on Sunday. He has gained strokes in all four categories (off the tee, on approach, around the green, and on the green) in both events he has played since the restart.
Kevin Streelman

DK: $7,600 — Proj: 62.2
FD: $9,300 — Proj: 63.2
Streelman has some converging trends going for him this week. He nearly won the Travelers Championship a few weeks ago and he backed it up with a T7 last week at this same course. His ball striking has been on point over the last two events and he can run hot with the putter. In fact, he was leading the field in strokes gained putting after the first two rounds last week. And finally, he has elite course history. He has made six straight cuts at this course with five top 20 finishes during that stretch. I see no reason why he can’t keep it going this week.
Billy Horschel

DK: $7,500 — Proj: 62.9
FD: $9,400 — Proj: 63.9
Horschel made an amazing comeback at last week’s Workday Charity Open. He was four over par after his first four or five holes. He played well the rest of his round and kept it rolling in the second round to easily make the cut. After firing one of the best rounds of the day on Sunday, he vaulted up into the top 10. It was truly an amazing finish given how poorly he struggled out of the gates. He now has top 15 finishes in three of his last five trips to Muirfield Village. He can gain strokes in all facets of his game, which typically translates well on difficult golf courses like this one.
Jim Furyk

DK: $6,500 — Proj: 58.2
FD: $7,800 — Proj: 54.9
Furyk nearly pulled a great comeback like Horschel last week. He struggled around the greens in his first round and ended the day at three over par. He was peppering the flagsticks on Friday and shot four under par to finish the first 36 holes at one under. At the time, he was well within the cut line (many expected the cut to be even by the end of the day). Unfortunately, a weather delay made the course a lot easier for the afternoon wave and eventually the cut moved to two under. Furyk loves this course, he hits a ton of greens, and he should benefit from the harder course setup.
