Monday, April 15th

It seems like the golf went well for everyone this weekend. I am all for old people making comebacks, so count that a win in my book! Not to be overlooked, Jose Abreu stole two bases yesterday, so between that and the Masters, I think we can all have hope that anything is possible in this life.

With that message of hope to start the day, let’s jump into this Monday slate. Well, actually, not yet sorry. The term ‘message of hope’ sent me down a Mitch Hedberg rabbit hole, and reminded me of this one:

I opened up a yogurt, and underneath the lid it said, “Please try again.” because they were having a contest that I was unaware of. I thought maybe I opened the yogurt wrong. …Or maybe Yoplait was trying to inspire me… “Come on Mitchell, don’t give up!” An inspirational message from your friends at Yoplait, fruit on the bottom, hope on top.

+1 on the Mitch love. One of my favorites. Saw him live at Florida State when I was there.

Great write up as always, Cheese!

I am interested in hearing your perspective on rostering players that are coming back from injury in cash games – any groin injury gives me pause, even if it’s the best hitter in Trout going into the best hitting environment on the slate.

I am not going to force him into cash games tonight. I’m not really concerned about the injury, it sounds like he could have played this weekend if it were important, and his skills are just so great that he’s still my top player on the board. But, given that it’s kind of tough to fit him in anyway, it is definitely not a priority in cash games, I’ll prioritize the pitching and just use Trout if I just have plenty of leftover salary.

Tough to get him in for sure so I’m not sweating it but glad to get your insight nonetheless. Thanks!

I’m against picketing, but I don’t know how to show it.
