Happy Monday! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I’m going to ramble about life for a minute here, feel free to skip over this and right to the baseball content.
We had the start of High School Football Season here in Auburn, which while not at level of the college game day experience, is still something I always look forward to. And especially this season, in my son’s senior year of high school. He joined the football team his sophomore year, knowing he was not going to get much playing time at all, if any. He hasn’t missed a practice, a workout or a film session in his three years on the team. He is not the biggest, not the fastest, and he is playing on a team with guys that will be Division 1 college players and maybe even beyond. This opening game turned into a blowout, and by the end of the first half, #48 was on the field, as a safety on defense as well as playing on the kickoff coverage team.
