Thursday, August 2nd

Happy Thursday! Thank goodness we have some pitchers worth talking about tonight. Things have just been lining up this way for awhile now with all the good pitchers going on the same days like today, and then pockets of nothingness like we had last night. However, it’s a top heavy pitching slate, and the cheaper options are just as much of a mess as what we had yesterday. There are a couple clear top spots for bats as well, followed by a more difficult mid-tier.

The trick tonight will be deciding where you’re willing to pass on the obvious top plays to take some riskier values. I’ll look for some options on both sides, but my current lean is to pay for pitching and pass on the expensive bats.
