We’ve got a seven-game Main Slate on tap for tonight. There are a few spots with some weather concerns, and none more important than in Washington where Max Scherzer is pitching. The A’s-White Sox game looks particularly dicey, but at least we don’t need to be too concerned with pitching there. I’ll add some notes if needed this afternoon if the weather seems likely to change the slate.
THURSDAY NIGHT PITCHING
DON’T OVERTHINK IT
Max Scherzer vs Orioles – At this point, there is just not much left to say about Scherzer. You just have to play him in cash games. He’ll probably have one or two more bad starts at some point in the season, but there is absolutely no reason at all to expect it to happen tonight. His 39% strikeout rate is the highest of all starters in the league. His 2.19 SIERA is the lowest of all starters in the league.
