Tuesday, May 15th

At first glance, this looks like another tricky slate, with a 14-game version of what we saw in last night’s 8-gamer. There are a couple of standout pitchers at high prices, a few decent pitchers at average prices, and then a whole bunch of nothing. But even without a lot of pitching, the offense seems a little blah as well. Every single one of the games starts with a Vegas total between 7.5-9.5, with ten of them landing between 8-9, giving credence to the spreadoutedness of this slate. Yes, that is definitely a word.

It appears that we will have some weather concerns that could be enough to affect the pitching choices in at least three games, Phillies-Orioles, Yankees-Nationals and A’s-Red Sox, and potentially Blue Jays-Mets and Cubs-Braves, so the weatherman will be a key player today.
