The RotoGrinders MLB Grind Down article will give you an in-depth analysis into the MLB schedule. This article will break down the numbers for every single game and give you analysis on which trends you can exploit.
While matchups are a major factor in daily fantasy baseball, there are plenty of other factors to consider such as injuries, weather, and salaries. The analysis should point you in the right direction, but it is still up to you to decipher the information and make your own selections. No sport has more variance than baseball. The best choice is not always the right choice but following the trends will win you money over time. (any fp listed uses Fanduel’s scoring system)

Las Vegas
- OU 7.5
- Favored STL -150
Pitchers
- Home Lance Lynn has a 2.77 ERA. He probably the most logical play tonight because of that fact but faces a very tough ARI team that has been hot. ARI is batting .263 on the road, and .331 over the last 7 days. Target
- Away Trevor Cahill is pitching very well also. He has huge GPP upside and has been great on the road with a 3.21 ERA. He get a tough opponent in a STL team batting .271 at home, .283 versus right-handers, and .279 over the last 7 days. Target
Batters

Las Vegas
- OU 8.5
- Favored LAA -180
Pitchers
- Home Joe Blanton ‘s ERA and WHIP are ridiculous. He draws a nice matchup in the Astros but as bad as he is pitching at home, he will probably get hit hard by them anyway and HOU has been hot lately. HOU is batting .260 on the road, .238 versus right-handers, and .259 over the last 7 days. Avoid
- Away Erik Bedard has been pitching pretty good over his last 5 outings but let’s not kid ourselves into thinking he stands a chance tonight in LAA. He has limited K/9 upside as has yet to throw over 100 pitches in any of his starts. LAA is batting .277 at home, .223 versus left-handers, and .245 over the last 7 days. Avoid
Batters
- Home Howie Kendricks has a .327 average versus left-handers. I would consider all of the usual suspects today.
- Away Carlos Pena and Chris Carter have been hot for the Astros. Jason Castro seems like a solid play as well.. Carlos Pena is 5-13 vs Blanton.
San Diego at LA Dodgers
| San Diego | LA Dodgers | ||||||

| Dodger Stadium | 10:10 PM | ||||||
| Eric Stults – (4-4), 3.86 ERA, 6.7 K/9, 1.205 WHIP | Chris Capuano – (1-4), 5.45 ERA, 6.55 K/9, 1.515 WHIP | ||||||

| ROAD | (2-3), 4.21 ERA, 5.2 K/9, 1.376 WHIP | HOME | (1-3), 8.31 ERA, 6.8 K/9, 1.846 WHIP | ||||

SDP BvP | SDP vs L | LAD BvP | LAD vs L
| Note: Batter Splits Above Open in Pop Up Window | |||||||
Las Vegas
- OU 7.5
- Favored LAD -105
Pitchers
- Home Stephen Fife has high K potential. He is the slight favorite today if you want to gamble. SDG is batting .240 on the road, .234 versus right-handers, and .219 over the last 7 days. In Play
- Away When a AAA call up is the favorite against you that speaks volumes about your relevance in daily fantasy. Eric Stults has been solid on the year but he has very little upside and is not a great road pitcher. LAD is batting .259 at home, .286 versus left-handers, .266 over the last 7 days. Avoid
Batters
- Home LAD has .351 BAA vs Stults as a team so you can consider everyone in play. Adrian Gonzalez has been hot over the last 7 days with 23 fp.
- Away Jedd Gyorko has been hitting the ball well producing 23.5 fp over the last 7 days. Trust to trust anyone on SDG but Fife ciould easily struggle so consider everyone playable.
Chicago White Sox at Seattle

| Safeco Field | 10:10 PM | ||||||
| John Danks – (0-1), 5.4 ERA, 6.3 K/9, 1 WHIP | Joe Saunders – (3-5), 5.57 ERA, 4.49 K/9, 1.542 WHIP | ||||||
| PvB | (26-130 H/AB) 0.2 BA-A, 26.15 K%, 0.6 OPS-A | PvB | (33-115 H/AB) 0.287 BA-A, 13.04 K%, 0.748 OPS-A | ||||

CHW BvP | CHW vs L | SEA BvP | SEA vs L
| Note: Batter Splits Above Open in Pop Up Window | |||||||
Las Vegas
- OU 7.5
- Favored SEA -110
Pitchers
- Home Everyone was high on Joe Saunders at home a couple so starts ago and he got shelled. We said to avoid him his last start on the road and he pitched a gem. That’s baseball for you. He has low upside but I would be willing to gamble on him today versus a struggling CHW team batting .261 on the road, .276 versus left-handers, and .232 over the last 7 days. In Play
- Away John Danks looked bad versus the Marlins and then again versus the Cubs. SEA is another nice draw and an easy place to pitch. If he does not pitch well tonight then I would start to worry about him. In Play
Batters
- Home Kendrys Morales, Jason Bay and Kyle seager are all hot. Morales is batting .361 versus left-handed pitching on the year. Danks could pitch bad again today so consider everyone in play
- Away Dayan Viciedo is batting .357 versus left handed pitching. Paul Konerko is 7-20 with 1 HR off of Saunders. Alex Rios is 8-27 with 1 HR.
