The RotoGrinders MLB Grind Down article will give you an in-depth analysis into the MLB schedule. This article will break down the numbers for every single game and give you analysis on which trends you can exploit. While matchups are a major factor in daily fantasy baseball, there are plenty of other factors to consider such as injuries, weather, and salaries.

The analysis should point you in the right direction, but it is still up to you to decipher the information and make your own selections. No sport has more variance than baseball. The best choice is not always the right choice but following the trends will win you money over time.

Kazmir has a 3.82 ERA since the break and a K/9 over 8. MIN is batting .230 on the road, .251 versus left-handers, and .247 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 6

• Away Every split puts Mike Pelfrey in the bad side of things. His 5.19 ERA and 1.54 WHIP on the year are consistent. He has not been up and down. He is that bad. He has struggled to get out everyone but has been particularly bad versus right-handers with a .332 BAA. CLE is batting .252 at home, .248 versus right-handers, and .241 over the last 7 days. Batter Grind Down

• Home Carlos Santana has been hot for CLE with 27.75 fp. Everyone is worth a look given Pelfrey’s struggles. RG Stack Rating 7

• Away Kazmir has struggled versus right-handers on the year. They are batting .275 versus him. Brian Dozier and Trevor Plouffe are your best options. Justin Morneau has been hot and hits left-handers decently. He has 2 HRs in 23 AB versus Kazmir. RG Stack Rating 5

It is tough to recommend him today versus DET but the OU is very low so he is worth a look. DET is batting .26 on the road, .286 versus right-handers, and .328 over the last 7 days. • Away Rick Porcello has been up and down all year. Mainly he has been down. He draws an easier matchup in NYM today but I have been burned by him one too many times already this year. NYM is batting .226 at home, .237 versus right-handers, and .236 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 4

• Home Porcello is allowing left-handers a .320 BAA on the year. Daniel Murphy, Ike Davis and Eric Young Jr. are your best bets. Marlon Byrd has been hot for NYM. RG Stack Rating 5

• Away DET is so hot that I think you can even take their mascot and he would go 1-4 wit 2 RBIs and 1 R. Miguel Cabrera is always a good play if you can afford him. RG Stack Rating 5

• Away Marco Estrada has been a much better pitcher on the road with a 2.88 ERA. He has a 2.65 ERA since the All-Star Break. • Home Jay Bruce is 6-14 with 4 HRs versus Estrada. Brandon Phillips is 6-15 with 1 HR. Joey Votto is 4-11 with 1 HR as well. Shin-Soo Choo with 23.75 fp over the last 7 days. RG Stack Rating 4

• Away Jorge De La Rosa has been a solid pitcher all year. He draws a great matchup today versus MIA in MIA and should be on the top of your list on a multiple pitcher site. MIA is batting .233 at home, .232 versus right-handers, and .217 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 7

• Home I like Giancario Stanton at home but outside of him it is best to take a pass on MIA. RG Stack Rating 3

Either way, you never want to take a pitcher in his first start back because there are to many things that can go wrong. ARI is batting .262 on the road, .257 versus right-handers, and .287 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 1

• Away Patrick Corbin numbers take a dip on the road but he draws a very easy matchup today in PHI. He is holding left-handers to a .167 BAA, which should help him out against this PHI team today. He has a 2.79 ERA and .233 BAA since the All-Star Break. Unless Roy somehow comes to life, he is a lock to get the win. PHI is batting .244 at home, .230 versus left-handers, and .222 over the last 7 days. RG Start-Ability 9

• Home Carlos Ruiz has been hot and is batting .333 versus left-handers. Darin Ruf has been hot as well with 28.5 fp over the last 7 days and draws the righty/lefty splits in his favor. RG Stack Rating 2
