MLB DFS: Game Selection and Stack Analysis for Friday, April 9th

Not every great stack is great for every contest. Every contest has its own degree of variance baked into it, so we have to gain leverage accordingly. Being cognisant of projected ownership (pOWN%) doesn’t mean we always have to act on it, but once we leave the cash game realm, awareness of pOWN% and factoring it into our decision-making has to be a part of our process in proportion (or exceeding) the amount of variance in our contests.

Even if we’re playing the chalk stack in a smaller field, the fact that we’re stacking means that we’re utilizing correlation, creating some inklings of leverage.

In this space, every Friday, we’ll take a look at our new DK stack values tool and give you some suggestions as to where to place certain stacks into our lineups and why.

All stats cited are since 2019, unless otherwise noted.
